1. step into one’s shoes 意为“穿上鞋，取代某人”。如：

When Bill’s father died, he had to step into his father’s shoes to support the family.

2. step by step意为“逐步地，渐渐地”。如：

A foreign language cannot be learned in a day; it must be learned step by step.

学好外语不是一朝一夕的事情，必须一步一步地学习。

3. watch one’s step意为“走路小心，说话（做事）谨慎”。如：

Watch your step when you are crossing the street.
