Top Banana，顶着香蕉？！
top banana和头上顶着香蕉（？！）一点关系也没有，这个词组是指大老板、领导人、掌权者。你可能会觉得奇怪怎么会有这样的意思呢？
原来早在100年前美国还没有电影、电视的时候，有一种舞台演出，内容包括流行音乐、舞蹈和笑话（类似相声？或者说，脱口秀？）。有时人们会在一个讲笑话的演员说完一个笑话之后给他一个香蕉。渐渐地人们就把最滑稽的演员称为top banana。
如今人们还会把“电视上演闹剧的人”叫做top banana，但更多时候你能够在提到政坛、经济圈中重要人物、第一把手的时候看到这个词组。
另一个意思接近的词组，top brass和top banana意思相近，但更加尊重一些；相对而言top banana比较随便、比较口语化。
