摘要：U2唱的经典，Silverwind赏析的更是经典。
高中时代同宿舍生活三年的一位同窗好友数年前去了美国，诸同学时有电邮来往。某日听之谈起音乐，顿令我有士别三日，当刮目相看之感。盖此君当年好读书，善雄辩，博通哲学，行事果决，素有远志，乃少见之干才。唯独少听音乐，于此不甚了了。未料到远渡重洋数年之后，居然好起此道。不过此事也不足为奇，音乐正是吾辈抒解情怀之一剂良药，且无苦口之虞，自然是多多益善。听好友谈起U2之音乐，实是于我心有戚戚焉。部分抄录如下：
I am so happy to see that you also like U2's songs!!! "U2 The Joshua Tree" is one of my favorite CDs. It's not the sweet music for pure and worry-free young boys and girls. You really have to be in some extreme situations to feel the meaning of the words in U2's songs.
I was once driving on the beach with someone. The background is the endless sea and a huge US aircraft carrier. The Sun was setting and spreading the red lights all over the sea. The song just rose:

The other time is when I was driving in the desert in Arizona at over 200km per hour trying hard not to let my tears falling down and again, here is the U2 song:

See? Life is not just happiness. Very different feelings enrich our lives and make us stronger.
好友提到的两首歌，都是出自U2乐队格莱美最佳专辑The Joshua Tree。其一为I Still Haven't Found What I Am Looking For，其二为With Or Without You，都是我非常喜爱的经典作品。尤其这首With Or Without You，是U2的歌里我最喜欢的。U2远非那些少男少女偶像乐队可比，他们音乐里的那种境界，只有用心细听才能有所领略。你会发现自己生活经历中那些挫折，那种曾经一度萦绕心头的失落，以及那些不愿为人所知的内心痛楚，都会与这样的音乐起了共鸣。我没有过在海滩或是沙漠上疯狂飙车，以宣泄自己感情的那种经历，但是好友的那种心情我是能体会到的。当一人独处旷野，或是夜不能寐，又或是午夜梦回，却发现梦中人从眼前消失，而耳边的随声听里传出这样的音乐，那又是怎样一种感觉啊，我实在无法用语言来形容。
