　　【译】我怀疑他是否能及时交房租。

　　【正】I doubt whether he can pay for the rent intime.doubt用在肯定句中，通常要用whether或if来引导其宾语从句，只有在否定句或疑问句中，doubt的宾语从句才能用that引导。

　　如：Doyoudoubt that the mayor will be able to attendthemeeting?你怀疑市长会来出席这次会议吗？

　　【误】I was more annoyed than to worry when he didnt omehome.

　　【译】当他没有回家，我与其说是担心，倒不如是生气。

　　【正】I was more annoyed than worried when he didntcomehome.句中的more...than表示“与其说是...倒不如说是...”.通常连接两个相对应的成分，在句子中作表语，所以to　worry应改成worried.
